DB's August Digest 🌸

DB's August Digest 🌸
What a week ! We have just hosted our very first DB Ceramic East Coast trunk shows. And the Hamptons delivered!

We had sunshine, dreamy garden vistas, beach walks at sunset and of course I got to play with an abundance of hydrangeas and driftwood!

My friend Sanda Lwin generously hosted the first show at her beautiful Hamptons home.  And it really was the most idyllic setting.

There was a wonderful turnout and I was given the warmest US welcome!

We were then treated to a beautiful dinner at Sanda's home prepared by British Chef Gaz of @comalnyc - his new Lower East SIde spot is already causing a stir.

And of course I was in my element creating the tablescape mixing my ceramics with driftwood gathered from local beaches and the most gorgeous pink and lilac hydrangeas freshly cut from the garden

Then it was on to the beautiful Ulla Johnson store in Amagansett where I hosted a floral and tablescaping masterclass.

And of course some shopping took place too - hard to resist those Ulla Johnson dresses!

It was a huge treat meeting so many of you, talking ceramics with fellow enthusiasts and I'm delighted my ceramics were such a hit!

If you missed our trunk shows, we are stocking at French Presse in Amagansett Square for the rest of the summer.

And the exciting news is that DB Ceramic will be back in the US very soon with a trunk show in NYC this November.

Feeling full of gratitude , inspiration, and a little sea air.

Happy August everyone!

A makeup bag that's as practical as it is pretty.  I love the summery feel of these Call it By Your Name bandana vanity bags which are a great size for fitting all your beauty essentials in.

All dermatologists will tell you that a mineral SPF offers superior protection from UV rays than a chemical SPF. A mineral SPF is one that uses zinc dioxide or titanium dioxide so those are the ingredients to look out for. I think it's definitely worth using a mineral SPF on the face to help protect against pigmentation (as well as lines and wrinkles). This latest Future Fluid Superlight SPF 50 from Ultra Violette is one of the best mineral SPF's out there - it's so light, leaves no white cast, just a lovely glow on the skin.

I have had so many compliments since I started using my bandana phone case with matching strap from La Coque Francaise.
It comes in some great summery colours including yellow (the one I have), orange and this fabulous blue.
These gorgeous Murano glass tumblers from Lamp London come in the most beautiful jewel like colours and add glamour and style to any table.
I adore Sharland England's bamboo chair which is so versatile and looks wonderful in a study, kitchen or dining room. Made from rattan and then torched to look like antique bamboo, it's a real statement piece and something to treasure.
