PRIVATE COMMISSIONS & COLLABORATIONS
Deborah has collaborated with the boutique hotel Thyme England in the Cotswolds on three collections. Always using their Bertioli for Thyme linens as inspiration, Deborah’s first collaboration focused on their stem stripe collection in green and red. These ombré hued linear illustrations informed the stripes following the curves of her flow bowls with touches of gold lustre. The collection also comprised of slip cast pumpkins and gourds in coordinating colours. Perfect for nestling in between floral arrangements as decorative additions.
Deborah’s second collaboration used her flow bowls in a blue stem stripe to reflect the wild chicory inspired linens in Caryn Hibbert’s hand painted prints that depict the flora and fauna that inhabit Thyme's garden.
For the most recent collection, Autumn Leaves. Using foliage from her garden and Holland Park, Deborah used these to press into speckled stoneware clay. The bowls were then fired and hand painted with oxides and stains to mirror the linen leaf prints. The bowls were then edged in both gold and copper lustre. The collection consisted of flow bowls in various sizes, napkin rings and serving platters as well as a collection of goblet vases in distinctive reactive glazes.
