The DB Ceramic takeover at Six Senses Ibiza

My blue and white bubble flow bowls were inspired by the island of Ibiza where I have a beautiful home. So it couldn’t have been more exciting to bring my ceramics back to the island that inspired them. The elegant Agora boutique at the Six Senses hotel in the north of the island has the most beautifully curated edit of clothing, accessories and interiors. All sourced by former fashion editors Daniela Agnielli and Tiffanie Darke, it is a joy to have my work stocked in their boutique. From my blue bubble platters, to vellum bud vases and cake stands, matchboxes and striped linen. If you’re on the island, its the perfect place to discover my work and pick up a gift for yourself or someone special.

To celebrate the launch of my ceramics at Six Senses, dbCeramic is also taking over the Orchard restaurant this Summer. Their beautiful alfresco restaurant will be decorated with my linens and ceramics for guests and visitors to enjoy alongside the most delicious locally sourced food.

To celebrate the takeover Daniela and Talana from Six Senses generously invited friends, journalists, interiors editors and designers from the island to enjoy a relaxed lunch. A menu of fresh ripe green, yellow and red tomatoes, creamy burrata, local charcuterie, grilled chicken and sweet potatoes using local Ibizan produce and all served on my ceramics.

It was a wonderful way to connect with fellow creatives on the island and showcase my work, explaining my techniques and the inspiration behind the collection.

Thank you so much Daniela and Talana for the most glorious celebration 💙

Best Things To Do - Everyone knows Ibiza for its club scene and parties but the island has an incredible landscape and the most beautiful hikes, Ibiza Hike Station is a fantastic crew of experienced hikers who will take you on the most epic walks and climbs for all ages and abilities.

Renting a boat is a great way to explore the island and the neighbouring Formentera. You can rent small ribs which don’t need a licence with a small engine. These can be found on beaches such as Cala D’Hort, Cala Vadella or Portinatx. Or if you wanted something a little racier try renting from Vanquish Ibiza. Great captains and they come with paddle boards and sea bobs for all day fun.

Best Boutiques - Ibiza has so many independent boutiques. From the inspiring fashion designers selling at Las Dahlias hippy market to Casa Bedouin(pictured) with its vintage lamps and eclectic furniture to my favourite eyewear brand Agga Eyewear and the hand tooled leather bags and belts of Te Cuero in Santa Gertrudis, there are so many creative people here to discover.

Best Restaurants - There are so many great places to eat in Ibiza, but nothing beats the perfect place for a sunset drink and low key bite to eat. Hostal La Torre has a wonderful laid back set up, perfectly positioned on the west coast of the Island for the best sunset views. An old classic is Plaza del Sol at the top of the ramparts in the old town. Super relaxed and with the great views over Eivissa town. And finally last year we savoured the farm to table food of Juntos House in St. Miquel. Set in terraced gardens, this al fresco restaurant is utterly delicious.

Best Beaches - The beaches in Ibiza are all so incredibly varied. From boulders, to pebbles to sand dunes, there is something for everyone. Cala Bassahas powdery white sand, shallow crystal-clear waters and lots of water sports for the family plus a great beach club CBBC. In the north, Benirras beach has a Sunday sunset ritual where hundreds of people gather to listen to the sound of melodic drumming played by hippies as the sun sets - known as "drumming down the sun". Super magical and a real ibiza experience. Atlantis is one of the most read and talked-about places you’ll hear about when it comes to the island’s hidden secrets. It is an old sandstone quarry that was used to build the walls of Dalt Vila and Castillo de Ibiza. You can either hike down or take a small boat and visit the geometrical formed rocks and small coves.
