DB DIGEST MAY: A SNEAK PEAK INTO MY IBIZA HOME

Ibiza Inspiration

Many of you have been following my ceramic journey since its inception and others are new to my brand but what you won't have failed to notice is my love of blue and white. And this is in large part due to my beautiful home on the island of Ibiza in the Spanish Balearics.

We renovated a rather castle like 1980's home (complete with crenelations and turret) into something softer and more in tune with the landscape.

After my epic Japan adventure I promptly left London to fly to Ibiza. Capturing my home with the wonderful photographer Sarah Blake for You Magazine's Interiors special - which comes out today!

So I thought I'd give you all some details and peaks into my home there and how my ceramics have been shaped by the island.

I love the rugged nature of Ibiza, it's rich red soil in the north and sandstone in the south, beautiful Sabena wood and towering pines. But of course its the deep blue of the mediterranean that sits on our doorstep and the rock of Es Vedra that is the most captivating view to be had.

The fluid forms of my flow bowls and the rich cobalt bubble glaze which trickles over the porcelain form is wholly inspired by the ever changing sea in view.

The interiors reflect the landscape from the use of rope and rattan furniture to the reclaimed terracotta herringbone tiles which we laid upside down to create a more rustic feel and of course our amazing blue and white tiles by Mosaic Factory.

I'm forever in love with the artistry of Tanya Ling's blue line painting. The perfect foil for my white walls and so reminiscent of the movement of my flow bowls.

The colour palette is not just one blue but a range of shades always touching on the more inky darkness of the mediterranean. With Batik outdoor fabric from Osborne & Little or Shibori table cloths from Daylesford or a whole host of stripes and triangles by the clever Fermoie - even our vintage Seat 600 is upholstered in their fabric!

And of course my blue bubbles work perfectly with all that layering of pattern and mix in beautifully with the white china I already own and glassware sourced from Mallorca and Venice.

Love these blue rimmed glasses by Dayleford. Perfect accompaniment to my bubbles in Ibiza and a little more robust for lunches al fresco

I was given these twisted diamond rope hoops from Lucy Delius for my birthday and they are so heavenly I haven't taken them off!

I was so excited to be able to photograph my new collection for Wyse London in my Ibithencan home, my Indigo hued home inspired so many of the pieces including the Terra dress

This light weight gauzy cotton dress can be cinched in at the waist with a coordinating Obi belt. Printed with contrasting patterns, or worn loose.

A new addition to my make up bag - Cosmetics a la Carte's Future Flawless concealer. Available in 16 shades its creamy matte consistency makes it the perfect cover up for blemishes from sore spots to redness

Possibly the chicest floats ever. The nice fleet makes painterly decorated lilos, rings and summer garden and pool accessories in the chicest of colour combinations.
