DB’s Digest - March 🍃

Welcoming Spring Newness

March is here and that means one thing, Spring has finally arrived. The weather may not have quite woken from its cosy winter days but Spring IS coming, especially with all those beautiful bulbs springing forth from Daffodils to Narcissi and sweet smelling Hyacinths.

This year Mother’s Day falls early on March 10th. With this in mind we are holding a two day pop up at the Marfa Stance Store. Not only will our full collection will be on display and available to purchase but we will be creating a table full of bud vases filled with the most delicate of posies ready to take home.

This merits one of my most favourite items on the springtime agenda - a new Spring tablescape filled to the brim with pops of sunshine, even if its only with the flowers and more excitingly our new tie-dye stripe table cloth and napkins.

Those who remember me hand painting striped linen on my garden floor last year to herald the launch of our teal bubbles, has finally become a reality. So many were excited about my designs that we decided to put my stripes into production. We have made a beautiful linen table cloth in both our teal and blue colour ways with matching sets of six napkins. The table cloths come in a elegant striped box, perfect for storing or gifting.

Both colour ways are available to pre-order now with delivery at the end of March. We have done a limited run of our linen, so order now before they disappear.

I love what my bubble glazed platters, plates and napkin rings do for my Spring table. Layering these against different prints but keeping the same colour tones is a really fun way to play with a tablescape.

For flowers I love dotting my little bud vases along the centre line of the table. They are so easy and simple to use. I like grouping them in threes and choosing two to three different types of flowers.

For this arrangement I used white Narcissi, like miniature Daffodils but a little daintier for the table and size of vase as well as my favourite Muscari, blue and white Hyacinth, Parrot Tulips and a pop of yellow Mimosa.

Our new napkins are made from French linen and sold in sets of 6 with each having its own stripe design. We have digitised my original print, meaning the linen can be washed without fear of the colour running but the beautiful patina of the tie dye has been retained giving the print a tactile feel. The colours are shades of olive, sage and teal, meaning these stripes go with so many other shades of green, whilst the blue version has deep indigos, lilac blues and cobalt.

More Spring newness is here with the launch on March 5th of our Teal candle in Tuscan Leaf. Our bespoke scent with top notes of Tomato leaves providing a sweet freshness, oregano, lemon and orange makes this scented candle the perfect way to welcome spring.

Once the candle has burned, the vessel can be used as a bud vase. The candle will be sold alongside our coordinating teal tiled matchbox as well as part of a specially priced platter set.

Another sneak peak Spring launch is our new raised platter and cake stand in teal launching in mid March. I love using them as a centre piece on a table or kitchen island, whether it’s as a fruit stand or floral tray. Keep your eyes peeled for when they launch. Others colours will include the burgundy bubble and a new creamy vellum. Not matte nor shiny, it has a soft finish with super clean lines. I just know you’re going to love it.

Verden’s new Hortosa scent ushers in my favourite spring time blooms. The chicest of packaging, I have their hand and body balm sets all through my home.

Can I get enough of bandana prints? I think not. Call it by your name, the French brand equally obsessed with my favourite print, makes anything and everything in this cool design, but updated to include fun smiley faces and the chicest of colours. I’ve been sporting their small silk bandanas knotted around my neck or on my bags and in my hair. The obsession is growing.

Loving Chinti & Parker’s pop of spring in their knit wear. These charming daisies add a whimsical yet bold design. Worn with wide leg jeans or over a floral or striped skirt. Make sure to use code DEBORAH20 to receive 20% off site wide.

Anything monogrammed catches my eye immediately. I’m currently lusting after Wardrobe Icons’ newest future Icon Dévé’s Alphabet pendants. Crafted in 18K gold vermeil in either 30mm or 15mm letters, add to their simple chains and this necklace will become a firm favourite, to be worn every day. Now I just need to decide on the letters...

My head is already thinking about Easter and bringing out my floral sprigged table cloths and my mother’s rabbit place mats and china duck egg cups. My favourite place to pick up the best decorations is Meri Meri. They have the most beautiful floral garlands, honey comb paper bunnies, rabbit ears and baskets ready for the hunt.
